Activewear Jacket Review: Stonewear Designs’ Helix Hits the Spot!
It’s no secret that most of my favorite activewear come from Stonewear Designs. I literally live in their clothing (and sometimes sleep in it, too.) However, this season’s line seems to hold a few new items that stand out exceptionally well. They also seem to attract a multitude of compliments whenever I wear them, which is always welcome!
The Helix Jacket is at the very top of my list. It’s the right weight for layering during the cooler evenings as well as wearing on its own. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it repels dirt (even from little hands covered in chocolate and marshmallows after a family campfire) exceptionally well. That, coupled with the flattering pattern and colors, (note: the spiced plum color is a little more purple than shown on the site) means I shouldn’t have to wash it much at all.
My favorite feature? At 18 weeks pregnant, it stretched around my expanding body and held its shape great, just like everything else I’ve tried from the Stonewear line.
The Helix holds the honored spot of my favorite fleece (which says a lot since I have way more in my closet than I care to admit). It’s comfortable, moves with my body, and keeps me warm.
