20 Healthy Thanksgiving Recipes for a Healthy Holiday
I say this every holiday: but I really really love Thanksgiving. While the Fourth of July is still Numero Uno in my heart, Thanksgiving follows closely behind (and this year, I get Chanukah too…and I mean, have you ever tried a latke? If not, add this dish to your list, irrespective of your spiritual beliefs.). My passion for this holiday is fueled by my appreciation of family time, love of baking pretty things, and being able to put my skill of consuming lots of said pretty things to use.
This year, I’ll head back to Colorado to visit friends and family, where I’ll try to re-acclimatize and do some running in order to jumpstart my metabolism for three different Turkey Days I have planned. After sweating it out on the road and in yoga, I’ll spend the week playing foodie with my favorite people. I plan to make at least a few of the healthy Thanksgiving items below. And while my list of healthy recipes stretches way beyond 12, I decided I wouldn’t overwhelm you with too many options. That’s something to be thankful for, right?
